In memory of:
Roger Pollard, Howie Dutton, Fred Bowes

Four young British soldiers formed a pop group in  February 1966 at their barracks in Detmold, West Germany.

The band consisted of 3 guitarists and a drummer, the usual line-up for a group in the sixties.

They called the band Shades of Blue and at first, played at military clubs within the army base.

These four lads were totally unaware that in just over one year later, the group would be performing alongside some of the top names in show business in front of HRH Princess Alexandra on a Royal Performance.
